James Sie has been creating voices for animation since 1999, when a chance audition landed him the title role in Jackie Chan Adventures. Since then, he has worked steadily in television, movies, and video games.
Recent projects include: Stillwater (title role); Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny (Bunnidharma & Sun Wukong); How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (Chaghatai Khan); Final Fantasy VII Remake (Professor Hojo); and Ghost of Tsushima.
He’s played kung fu heroes in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness (Monkey) and Quest of the Dragon (Bruce Lee), two superheroes in the DC universe (Wind Dragon and The Atom), Eddie Raja in Uncharted, multiple roles on King of the Hill, and gained eternal fame as the Cabbage Merchant in Avatar: The Last Airbender. 🥬✨
James is also the author of two novels: All Kinds of Other (HarperCollins) and Still Life Las Vegas (St. Martin’s Press), for which he recorded the audiobook. As an audiobook narrator, he has also voiced A Change of Hate by Joe Broadmeadow and many titles as a volunteer for Learning Ally, a nonprofit that provides audiobooks for readers with learning differences. 🎙️📚
